Welcome to the MSSPI History,Hauntings & Legends Pages.

Our goal is to provide you with information, stories, legends, lore, facts, and research links to help you in your research of the great State of Mississippi. If you have any information you would like to submit please see the story submission page for details..

Most of the links to the left are already up and running, we are adding new pages as we can and we intend to continue adding information as it becomes available. The places listed in the Hisrory and Lore pages have not neccessarily been fully investigated by MSSPI but have been researched, visited, toured or read about by interested members. To view actual MSSPI Cases Investigations view the MSSPI Case & Evidence page for further details on places we have investigated , done research, or are in the process of investigating. We appreciate your patients while we are under construction and we hope you will bookmark this page in your research links.

NEW!! History Research Tools & Links Pages

Many new groups are springing up all over the state of MS and the nation, for that matter. Many who are entering the field of paranormal research do not know where to begin when it comes to doing genealogy and historical research, which is a big part of understanding the places we visit and investigate. History plays as much apart of paranormal research as science, so we decided to add some research tools and links to help those who are just starting out or who just want to clear up a family history by researching their relatives, ancestors etc or the history of persons who may have once lived in their homes in the flesh and who may also still be hanging around the old homestead.  The  MS History Research Tools & Links  will take you there.

What's New There? So far this month we have added new links to MS GENWEBS & US GENWEBS,Tombstone Projects, Cemetery Lookup links and newspaper Obituary Links for Mississippi. we are adding to this page daily until completed and hope you will bookmark the MS History Research Tools & Links page.
